The Fashion Industry plays an important role in the Australian economy and to support its growth BHI offers two Bachelor courses. For those with the creative spirit and a flair for fashion, the Bachelor of Fashion provides inspiring designers the skills and knowledge to enable them to pursue their own label or work as a designer in the dynamic fashion industry. In our Fashion courses, you will learn a range of skills from design, concept development, creating your own patterns, garment construction, producing and marketing your own unique collection which you will showcase at the end of year graduate runway show. Career paths lead to a designer, product developer, pattern technician, production manager, illustrator, trend forecaster or fashion stylist.
Alternatively the Bachelor of Fashion Merchandising offers exciting career opportunities in important business growth areas within the fashion retail industry including buyer, product developer, Visual Merchandiser, Stylist, Digital Marketer and Retail Manager. In our Bachelor of Merchandising you will learn about trend researching and range development, styling for a fashion photoshoot, how to merchandise a retail store, develop a digital marketing campaign and website and work with a major retailer on a collaborative project.
Successful completion will enable you to apply for post graduate courses, e.g. a Masters of Design.
If you have completed an Advanced Diploma of Fashion or Associate Degree, you are eligible up to 66% credit (2 years).
